Meet the management and staff of NOTRE DAME OILFIELDS MARITIME SERVICES, INC. They are already seasoned experts in their respective fields of discipline. Rich in wisdom and know-how due to long years of hands-on exposure to the business.

 

ZENAIDA C. RABINA
Crewing Officer

Zeny is our Crewing Officer. She joined our company on December 2007.

As our Crewing Officer, she develops and implements programs, plans, policies and procedures for recruitment, testing and deployment of qualified seafarers. Responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the Operations Department, she ascertains that all the documentation of seafarers are validated to ensure compliance with established standards (STCW) and other regulations and assesses additional requirement to ensure conformity and endorses the seafarers to the appropriate institutions.

Zeny is also the one who makes contact with various educational and training institutions, other manning or maritime agencies, and other sources of seafarers. She also maintains a good working relationship with key personnel in government agencies directly involved in the shipping industry such as but not limited to the POEA, MARINA, PRC, TESDA, etc. The majority of content of our website was also written by her.

She is a graduate of Two-year Secretarial Course and gained her knowledge and expertise through the various shipping companies she previously worked for.

Among the seminars, trainings and conferences she attended are ISO Overview, conducted by SGV Group of Companies on October 08, 1995; Internal Quality Audit Workshop, conducted by SGV Group of Companies on January 27, 1996; Developing Supervisory Skills, conducted by JRF Business Institute on October 25, 1996; Revised Standard Employment Contract, conducted by Filipino Association for Mariners Employment(FAME) on January 30, 1997; Echo Training on Seaman's Manpower Administration System(SMAS), conducted by Interorient Maritime Enterprises, Inc. on February 03, 1997 and lastly, Orientation Seminar on ISO 9001-2000, conducted by Quality Management Pro-Philippines on July 23, 2003.

She previously held position as Administrative Secretary from July 1980 to April 1982; as Filing Clerk/Telex Operator from June 1982 to June 1985; as Liaison Officer from March 1986 to March 1987; as Assistant Manager from March 1987 to May 1993; as Operations Manager from May 1993 to May 1997; as Documentation Manager from May 2003 to May 2004; and finally, as Operations and Marketing Officer from May 2004 to April 2006 before joining our company.

 

LORENA GONZALES
Liaison Officer

Lorena is our Liaison Officer. She joined our company on June 2008.

She works in close coordination with the Crewing Officer and Documentation Officer for the prompt processing of documents of qualified seafarers and the accreditation/registration of employers with the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA). It is her job to submit the required documents in a timely manner in order to maintain good standing and prevent administrative sanctions. It is also her job to ensure the confidentiality of all documents she handles such as the ones concerning our company's accounts including employers' and seafarers' data.

Lorena maintains a friendly, open communication with POEA and keeps an eye out for new and updated requirements and effectively convey such information to our company officer concerned. She is also the one who retrieves the seamen's Certificate of Completion from TESDA.

She took up a four-year course in Education and is considered a new player in the shipping industry.
