Our Staff

Meet the staff of NOTRE DAME OILFIELDS MARITIME SERVICES, INC. They are already seasoned experts in their respective fields of discipline. Rich in wisdom and know-how due to long years of hands-on exposure to the business.

 

LETICIA D. DE LEON
Crewing Officer

Letty is our Crewing Officer. She is responsible for the recruitment, testing and deployment of qualified seafarers. She ascertains that all the documentation of seafarers are validated to ensure compliance with established standards (STCW) and other regulations and assesses additional requirement to ensure conformity and endorses the seafarers to the appropriate institutions.

Letty is also the one who makes contact with various educational and training institutions, other manning or maritime agencies, and other sources of seafarers. She also maintains a good working relationship with key personnel in government agencies directly involved in the shipping industry such as but not limited to the POEA, MARINA, PRC, TESDA, etc.

She graduated Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Accounting from Polytechnic University of the Philippines and gained her knowledge and expertise through the various shipping companies she previously worked for.

Among the seminars, trainings and conferences she attended are Applied Behavior Analysis Seminar conducted by the University of the Philippines in September 2002, Effective Internal QMS Auditing to ISO 9001:2000 Seminar conducted by Certification International, Philippines in April 2006 and the Quality Management System Auditing to ISO 9001:2008 Seminar conducted by Mr. Juan Miguel Gonzales in November 2009.

She previously held position as Bookeeper of Gau Sheng Philippines, Inc. from November 1994 to September 1997; promoted to Documentation Manager from September 1997 to September 2000 of the same company; worked as Processing Head of Tai-Fil Manpower Services, Corp. from October 2000 to March 2005; she also worked as Recruitment Head of Big Dipper Maritime Services, Corp. from June 2005 to April 2009 before joining our company.

 

LORENA D. GONZALES
Liaison Officer

Lorena is our Liaison Officer. She works in close coordination with the Crewing Officer and Recruitment Assistant for the prompt processing of documents of qualified seafarers and the accreditation/registration of employers with the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA).

It is her job to submit the required documents to POEA in a timely manner in order to maintain good standing and prevent administrative sanctions. It is also her job to ensure the confidentiality of all documents she handles such as the ones concerning our company's accounts including employers' and seafarers' data.

Lorena also maintains a friendly, open communication with various embassies and keeps an eye out for new and updated requirements and effectively convey such information to our company officer concerned. Generally, this is done to achieve the best utilization of resources or employment of services of one organization by another.

She took up a four-year course in Education and even thou considered a new player in the shipping industry, she is already very familiar with the policies and procedures, hence making sure that everything is legal and accurate to avoid future problems.

She has attended the Quality Management System Auditing to ISO 9001:2008 Seminar conducted by Mr. Juan Miguel Gonzales in November 2009. She also attended the Far East Maritime Foundation, Inc.(FEMFI) Manning Officer's Course in March 2010 with Capt. Jun Arcellana as Trainer.

 

FRANCIS JOHN B. DIPON
Recruitment Assistant

Francis is our Recruitment Assistant. He is responsible for the correctness of CVs and the validity of STCW Certificates, Passport, Seaman's Book, COC and Medical Certificate of applicants. He coordinates with the Liaison Officer for the prompt processing of approved candidates' documents.

A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Management Information System from AMA Computer College in Makati City. Francis has worked for various industries prior to joining this agency. Such varied experience includes administrative tasks, events organization and customer service.

He has attended the Quality Management System Auditing to ISO 9001:2008 Seminar conducted by Mr. Juan Miguel Gonzales in November 2009.

He occupied the Senior Operations Associate post in Maersk for five years and has worked in providing guidance and initial training to junior members of the company. He also worked for a brief period as Customer Service Representative for Concepcion-Carrier Industries. These backgrounds gave him a better understanding on business dynamics, as well as gain evaluative and analytical skills essential for drawing accurate conclusions.

 

ISABEL B. GERULDO
Admin and Finance Assistant

Bhing(or Bing) is our Admin and Finance Assistant. She reports directly to the President and assists in the day to day operation of the office. She assists the President in accounting matters such as billing and collection, payroll, vouchers and petty cash transactions. She also assists the President in the company's compliance with BIR, SSS and PHIC, and in the administration of the Quality Management System.

She graduated Bachelor of Science in Commerce Major in Marketing from Central Philippines University in Iloilo City and has since then, dabbled in different jobs such as accounting and bookkeeping, sponsor coordinating and assisting company presidents.

She has attended the Quality Management System Auditing to ISO 9001:2008 Seminar conducted by Mr. Juan Miguel Gonzales in November 2009.

She worked as Accounting Clerk of D-4 Printing Press in Iloilo City from July 1998 to July 1999; promoted to Personnel-in-Charge from July 1999 to July 2000 of the same company; worked as Sponsor Coordinator of Micro Advertising in Iloilo City from January 2001 to January 2002; she also worked as Secretary to the President of Orophil Shipping International Company, Inc. from April 2004 to February 2009 before joining our company.
